Contemporary worship is held in the Central Activities Center (CAC) and is attended in person and online every Sunday at 9 a.m. Our Praise Band leads music under direction of Nic Stewart, our Director of Contemporary Worship. This service offers a connection to today's trends through the lens of music and scripture.
Classic Worship is held in the Sanctuary every Sunday at 11 a.m. Director Scott Montgomery and the Chancel Choir lead music in this service. In Classic Worship, we use the United Methodist liturgy that includes scripture, creeds, affirmations, music, and prayers. Liturgy means the work of the people. A worship service is God’s people coming together and joining in work that honors God.
Throughout this series, we will hear the need for reconciliation between humankind and a holy God through Jesus’ death on the cross. The Bible uses many images to understand the meaning of Jesus's death and resurrection. We will journey through these images to achieve a richer understanding of the Christian faith. By exploring the mystery of salvation through the cross, we can deepen our love for God and others and strengthen our commitment to follow Jesus
