Central CARES

Central CARES during Coronavirus

During the Coronavirus crisis our pastors and Central CARES team members will provide Tele-care by phone until visitation at the hospitals, nursing homes and in-home visits can resume.  Please contact our Director of Congregational Care Kim Witte or 479-442-4237 x. 1840, to report hospitalizations and home bound in need of a tele-care visit or Handy Helper assistance.  Please submit prayer requests online or contact our 24-hour prayer line at 479-582-HOPE.

Handy Helpers is a new ministry designed to help those who are elderly, medically fragile, ill, or live alone and unable to leave their homes.  If you are healthy and able to drive and shop at local stores, we want to encourage you to consider volunteering to be a Handy Helper.  We have concern for our church members who are unable to get to the grocery store for food, or to the pharmacy for prescriptions.  Handy Helpers will not have physical contact with those they are assisting but will fulfill orders and make deliveries. Please contact Kim Witte to volunteer.

At Central, we know God desires the church to be a place for compassion, healing, and renewal. Grief, health concerns, and financial issues are among the many challenging events we encounter in life. But with a church family, we never have to face them alone.

Central CARES:
Compassion, Accessibility, Renewal, Equipping and Support.

Call us, we are standing by to offer you comprehensive care, support, and encouragement when you need it most.

CARES Ministry

You don’t have to face the difficult times alone. CARES Ministry is a compassion ministry for people facing difficult challenges in their lives such as loss of a loved one, divorce, or illness. It is one-to-one, confidential, Christ-centered care provided by laypersons who have been equipped by the church with specific training. Being a CARES Minister is a practical and powerful way to respond to Christ’s commandment: “Love one another as I have loved you.”

Celebrate Recovery

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered program that helps us deal with life’s “hurts, habits, and hangups.” The purpose of Celebrate Recovery is to celebrate God’s healing power in our lives through the eight recovery principles found in the Beatitudes (Matthew 5:1-11) and the Christ-centered 12 steps.

Celebrate Recovery is at our Genesis Church campus at 205 Martin Luther King Blvd. on Wednesday evenings beginning at 5:15 p.m. in the Sanctuary. For more information on Celebrate Recovery contact Jody Farrell at  or Janice Hanna at .
